MKW defies crisis with innovation

The well-positioned family enterprise from Upper Austria invests in spite of times of crises in a new duroplast injection moulding manufacturing.

  
MKW Holding GmbH with location in Weibern, Upper Austria unites the two main operations “Plastics” and “Surfaces/Wire”. In 2009 all four locations together with approx. 400 employees gain a turnover of 40 million euro. Due to different divisions, an extensive customer and product portfolio and innovations the company is on course of expansion since many years.

As one of the leading toilet seat manufacturers of Europe, MKW can draw upon many years of experience of duroplast moulding. Also, MKW call on know-how in the field of injection moulding of thermoplast. Building on that, MKW gets in injecionction moulding of duroplast.

Wiesner Hager, Austrian premium-supplier of office furniture, concludes MKW the contract to manufacture the connecting parts and the lockout mechanism from duroplast for a novel folding table. Comparable constructions are typically made from aluminium die casting, which are mostly import articles from Asia.
The in-house development of components as well as construction and manufacturing of tools guarantees our customer a short cycle time and the necessary flexibility. With the launch of series production in January 2010, MKW proved that with the right company policy the location Austria is also international competitive.
